The Grand Hotel Et De Milan is one of the city's most prestigious hotels. We have been a Milan resident of high society since our opening in 1863. The hotel is located right in the center of Milan on Via Manzoni, in the heart of the social and cultural life of the city. It is next to Via Nontenapoleone and Via Della Spiga, famous for its shopping. The hotel offers two elegant and comfortable restaurants. The first, particularly suitable for a quick lunch, is called Caruso, in memory of the first recording of this famous tenor made here at the hotel. The intimate atmosphere and decor of the second, Don Carlos, is named after Verdi's Opera and is an ideal venue for evening meals. The walls are decorated with paintings, photos and reproductions of drawings of stage and set from La Scala Musuem. All the rooms and suites are furnished with antique pieces of furniture, accurately restored with precious wood floors. The spacious ensuite bathrooms have been renovated using precious Italian marble. The lounges of the hotel are available to accommodate business meetings, conferences, exhibitions, cocktail parties and receptions.

Restaurants/Bars/Meal Plans The Grand Hotel et de Milan offers a bar and two restaurants Gerry's Bar: 1000-00.45 Hrs An elegant and refined American bar in the heart of Milan for light lunches, a tea, a cocktail or a quick snack during the day. Caruso Restaurant: 1230-1430 Hrs Especially recommended for business lunches or for eating with friends at lunch time, it is characterized by its brightness, with the green of the Piazzetta Croce Rossa creating the atmosphere of a pleasant winter garden. During the spring and summer months it is possible to eat outside. Don Carlos Restaurant: 1930-0100 Hrs The Don Carlos Restaurant was so named in honor of Guiseppe Verdi, who stayed at the grand hotel for over twenty years. In an intimate, refined and elegant setting, recreated with paintings, sketches and set designs taken from the La Scala Theater Museum, the Don Carlos presents regional cuisine illuminated by the glow of its ancient silver candle sticks. Guidebooks and well-known magazines have described it as one of Milan's most exclusive restaurants, where culinary expertise and impeccable service are blended with an atmosphere of by-gone days. It is also open for post-theater dining. The Grand Hotel et de Milan is provided with three hospitable lounges which combine elegance and class with modern high technology, to create a perfect context for work meetings, receptions, banquets, congresses, exhibitions and presentations of any kind. All the lounges are provided with air conditioning and have natural lighting. Camino Lounge: In 1872 Giuseppe Verdi chose to stay in room 105 on the first floor of Albergo Milano, which enabled him to alternate his metropolitan and work life with that of his country retreat at Sant'Agata. The furniture of the room has remained unchanged since that time. The elegant decor, the antique fireplace and the famous desk on which he worked on many great operas were restored with great care during the recent renovation. Camino Lounge offers a historic environment for your receptions and a classic and refined setting for your work meetings. Puccini Lounge: The Puccini Lounge, decorated with valuable paintings from the collection of Maria Luigia d'Austria, a Flemish tapestry and splendid Murano lamps, provides a representative example of the nineteenth century refined elegance. Giordano Lounge: A broad corridor separates the Puccini lounge from the Giordano lounge that, with its extremely beautiful Papier Peintre, presents itself as a welcoming and intimate environment, typical of the buildings of Old Milan.
