At the foot of Elizabeth Bridge, on the Pest Danube embankment, the restaurant named after Matyas, the great king of Hungarians, opened in 1904. When innkeeper Matyas Baldauf opened the restaurant he could hardly have expected his restaurant to become a legend. Very soon the locals became very fond of the place, and it quickly built up many regular guests. . Party Service Our master chefs can put together a wide range of cold and warm dishes for both in - house and outside family and business parties, receptions and press briefings. .
