Favretto? ?Ca? is the abbreviation of the word ?casa? which means house in Italian. In Venice all the most important buildings are called by the family name. The name of Ca? Favretto was given to the building at the end of the XIX century after Giacomo Favretto, a long-term resident lived and worked in it. Giacomo Favretto (1849 ? 1887) was one of the most representative venetian modern artist. Some of his paintings are exhibited at the modern art museum of Venice ?Ca? Pesaro?, and many other thought Europe.
