* From I26 East and Charleston International Airport Take I26 east to Charleston. At "I26 END-ONE MILE" sign, merge into the left-hand lane to prepare to take the meeting street exit-visitors center info sign. Continue on Meeting Street for one mile. Take the first right past Hassel Street. Charleston Grill Charleston grill is South Carolina's most notable Mobil four-star restaurant and has received the AAA four-diamond award and distinguished restaurants of North America award. Creative and uniquely presented cuisine is served flawlessly by skilled and knowledgeable staff. A warm and intimate ambiance is created by mahogany paneling, marble flooring, and the soft sounds of the live jazz trio. The Palmetto Cafe courtyard is open for al fresco cocktails and dinner, subject to availability and weather permitting. The Vintners room is beautiful semi-private room, accommodating up to forty people for parties in the Charleston Grill. Wine cabinets with glass doors line the walls of the room, creating the perfect atmosphere for group dining. It allows your party to be private and intimate while still providing access to the lounge area with it's live jazz music. Hours of operation- * Open 7 days a week * The lounge area serves appetizers and desserts/ opens at 1600. The first seating for dinner is 1800. Appropriate attire û business casual dress is requested in the dining room. Jackets and ties are not required. Although they are appreciated. Casual dress is appropriate for the lounge area. Palmetto Cafe The Palmetto Cafe epitomizes the wonderful Charleston juxtaposition of lazy tranquility with cosmopolitan glamour. Lobby Lounge Located adjacent the grand staircase, the lobby lounge at Charleston Place serves traditional afternoon tea from 2pm-5pm Monday through Saturday. Cocktails, appetizers and desserts are served Sunday through Thursday from 1pm until 11pm, and on Friday and Saturday from 1pm until midnight. Live entertainment including piano and classical guitar is enjoyed six nights per week. A perfect atmosphere for a bridal shower or an afternoon get together, the tea service at the lobby lounge was voted, "Best Tea in the South" by Southern Living Magazine. Knowledgeable service staff serves the finest selection of imported teas from Harney and Sons and Taylors of Harrogate. From black teas to oolongs and tisanes, the tea service at Charleston Place is truly world class. A fantastic light fare menu is served in the relaxed atmosphere of the lounge. Fresh made desserts are available from our in house pastry kitchen. Cuisine includes open-faced tea sandwiches, Norwegian smoked salmon and caviar, fresh made scones, crumpets and traditional tarts and pastries. A wide array of Sherries, ports, wines, bourbons and cognacs are offered. Reservations are recommended for afternoon tea.
